An Interview with Mia Goth

Her Role in Frankenstein

Mia Goth stars as Elizabeth Lavenza in Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated adaptation of Frankenstein, set to release on October 17, 2025. Describing the film’s costume design as “a master class in costumes,” Goth expressed deep emotion upon seeing co-star Jacob Elordi fully transformed into his character, Victor Frankenstein. She remarked, “I think first and foremost, I actually felt quite emotional… I couldn’t help but think what a special moment that was for Guillermo.”

That’s one of the beautiful things about having a child… Things that you used to take for granted or you just weren’t present for or just completely glazed over as an adult, she really slows down.

Motherhood & Family Life

Since welcoming her daughter Isabel in 2022, Mia Goth says her approach to work has changed. She’s “more selective” about roles, explaining that each project must justify “being away” from her child. During Frankenstein filming in Scotland, Isabel joined her on set, and Goth plans to bring her along for future shoots — a reflection of how she’s learning to balance career and family without losing momentum.
